Alabama State University, Office of the Provost, invites applications to fill the position of Director of Grant Management and Projects. A major function of this position will be to assist with the management of funded projects as assigned by the Provost as well as assist with academic operations and special initiatives. The selected candidate will work to identify funding opportunities, partnerships and collaborative efforts to expand the research footprint of the institution and to enhance the academy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master's degree, in communications, marketing or public relations, at least 3 years of professional grant management/development experience, database management experience to include entering and maintaining date, building and running reports, developing process improvements, and back end database development, and have a successful track record of securing and/or managing local, state, federal, and/or foundation funds. Relevant work experience will also be considered in lieu of the degree requirements.
