Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Director of Fundraising and Community Engagement to lead our efforts in cultivating relationships and increasing financial support from existing donors, while inspiring new community members to contribute significantly. This role is key to building a robust grassroots movement centered on advocacy and voting initiatives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing strategic plans to enhance community engagement and fundraising outcomes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and supporters.
- Meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.
- Identifying, recruiting, and nurturing lay leadership for various advocacy roles.
- Providing regular updates to encourage ongoing donor involvement in our policy and advocacy efforts.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven fundraising experience and success.
- Strong ties to the Jewish community and schools.
- A deep commitment to Jewish education and advocacy.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability in dynamic situations.
- A problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks with precision.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience. The position is remote but requires that applicants reside in the Los Angeles area. Travel requirements are less than 10%.
