Director of Finance And Accounting - Contract to Hire - LHH : Job Details

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Hospital located on the southside of Chicago that is looking to bring on a Director of Finance & Accounting on a possible contract to hire basis. The opportunity is 100% onsite and the position would require the candidate to drive and implement process improvement in the accounting department. The person taking on this Director of Finance & Accounting would be responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month end close function
• Be responsible for creating monthly/quarterly financials
• Present monthly/quarterly results to senior leadership
• Supervise 4 employees that are responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month end close
• Review the month end close function and identify areas for improvement; implement process improvements; and document procedures
• Prepare monthly reporting for leadership's review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required
• CPA or MBA is desired
• 5-7+ years of hospital accounting experience required
• Prior supervisory experience is required
• Prior experience implementing process improvements in the month end function is required
• Prior experience using Paragon software and advanced excel skills are required
