Reporting directly to the Provost, the Director of Executive Operations functions as the Provost's chief administrative officer, playing a pivotal role in the academic leadership of the university. This position blends high-level executive support with strategic coordination—managing complex scheduling, overseeing office operations, supervising staff, and leading special initiatives on behalf of the Provost and senior academic leadership.The Director ensures the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Provost's Office while advancing key institutional priorities through proactive project leadership, effective communication, and operational excellence.The value of employment at ETSU goes far beyond salary. - Executive-level judgment, diplomacy, and customer-service orientation.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible executive-level administrative support, project management, and direct supervision of professional staff.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration, Higher Education Leadership, Public Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, the Humanities, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a research university or large public-sector environment. Project Management
- Professional ( PMP ) or comparable certification. Knowledge of Banner or similar ERP systems.
