Director of Environmental Services - New Paltz Center : Job Details

Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the environmental services department, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility- Develop and implement cleaning protocols and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices- Coordinate and schedule custodial staff to ensure adequate coverage for all areas of the facility- Train and supervise custodial staff, providing guidance and support as needed- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to cleaning standards- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed- Collaborate with other departments to address any environmental service needs or concerns- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in environmental services

Qualifications:- Previous experience in a leadership role within environmental services or a related field- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, OSHA regulations, and commercial cleaning techniques- Experience with floor care, including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Knowledge of hospital environmental service requirements is preferred
