We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Enterprise Applications specializing in JD Edwards ERP architecture, with a strong focus on manufacturing systems and integration. This role drives digital transformation through analytics and automation while leading the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of enterprise applications—including ERP, CRM, HRIS, warehouse systems, and quality management. A deep understanding of manufacturing workflows and system interoperability is essential to ensure seamless operations from order intake to product delivery. Success involves defining the long-term architectural roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and integration. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day application and database support, including patches, upgrades, incident management, and downtime resolution, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Must be fluent in Microsoft toolsets, JDE, Salesforce, UKG, AutoTime (Kronos), OneStream, SQL, and Oracle DB. ** MUST BE A US CITIZEN **Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Define and champion the enterprise application strategy and architectural roadmap, aligning with overall business goals and IT strategy.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new JD Edwards modules, complementary applications, and technologies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation through effective application architecture.
- ERP Architecture & Design (JD Edwards Focus):
- Oversee the architectural design, development, and evolution of our core JD Edwards ERP systems and their integration with other enterprise applications.
- Ensure the integrity, scalability, performance, and security of the JD Edwards landscape.
- Develop and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices specifically for JD Edwards enterprise applications.
- Manage technical debt and ensure the long-term maintainability of the JD Edwards application portfolio.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solution architects, application specialists, and integration engineers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the enterprise applications team.
- Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets for enterprise application initiatives.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies:
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, RPA, blockchain, low-code platforms) and assess their potential impact and applicability to our enterprise applications.
- Drive innovation by identifying and prototyping new solutions that enhance business capabilities and competitive advantage.
- Operational Support
- Facilitate and prioritize Incident and Support Tickets
- Ensure Application Uptime
- Manage application upgrades
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, functional owners, and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on enterprise application strategy and technology trends.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Vendor & Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with JD Edwards vendors, system integrators, and other technology partners.
- Evaluate vendor offerings and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal value and service.
- Governance & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for enterprise application development, deployment, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, data privacy standards, and internal policies.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on enterprise applications and ERP architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the architecture, implementation, and support of JD Edwards ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, World).
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale JD Edwards implementations, upgrades, and transformations.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Strong experience with integration technologies and platforms (e.g., APIs, ESBs, iPaaS) relevant to JD Edwards.
- Experience with cloud-based JD Edwards solutions and hybrid IT environments.
- Operational support experience with large-scale ERP environments, including incident management, problem resolution, and system monitoring.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in JD Edwards modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality.
- Expertise in Salesforce CRM, UKG HRIS, & Onestream
- Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) commonly used with JD Edwards.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics platforms integrated with JD Edwards.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they apply to enterprise applications.

- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, RPA, and blockchain in the context of enterprise applications and JD Edwards.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
