Job Announcement Position Information Position Title Director of Enrollment Management Campus Cranford Department One Stop Operations Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct Full Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant Regular General Description Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Director of Enrollment Management works to support the AVP in developing and executing well-planned strategies to implement the UCNJ enrollment goals via the strategic enrollment management plan (SEM). The Director will work with stakeholders to manage all aspects of new student onboarding, drive the implementation of the College's strategic enrollment management plan, while directly supervising the office of Admissions. The Director of Enrollment Management supervises the Admissions Team providing recruitment goals, coaching and leadership development of staff, budgeting, and providing and articulating consistent and accurate enrollment reports to the UCNJ community. In addition, the position is responsible for leading and/or partnering in the coordination and planning of special admissions and recruiting events such as, registration drives, new student orientation, tuition payment support, financial aid workshops, and student retention programing. The Director of Enrollment Management works with external organizations including school districts and community agencies to build strong partnerships between the College and the Community. Utilizing the College's CRM platform, the Director of Enrollment Management works closely with the marketing team to develop strategies for social media, print, television, website, and radio marketing for admissions. This requires an awareness of demographic and enrollment trends, as well as academic and career interests of college-bound students of all ages to communicate and promote the College's mission to diverse groups, and to articulate the needs of the community to senior management. The Director of Enrollment Management works closely with the following partner offices: Student Accounts, Finance Division, the Director of Business Systems, the Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, Advising, Career and Transfer Services, and constituents across campus to optimize the customer service environment for students. Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities • Develops, implements, and evaluates the strategic enrollment management plan incorporating the College's goals pertaining to student opportunity and success, community outreach, access, diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Provide data analysis to the VPSD and other college administrators regarding funnel projections, trends, course demands, and additional indicators needed to support operational decisions. • Implement student success strategies and customer service standards aligned with the College's vision, mission, and SEM plan. • Creates and maintains enrollment and financial reports and provide regular analysis inclusive of strategy modifications. • Chairs and participates in committees, shared, and non-shared governance meetings. • Assist in the development and administration of budgets for assigned functions and monitors and approves expenditures. • Manages admissions office staff and directs the office in: staff hiring, training, evaluation and assessment; establishing and assessing office policies and procedures; overseeing the scheduling of recruitment travel and planning and execution of special events; assigning and reviewing special projects; staff development programs; coordinating vacations and compensatory time; processing of student and community inquiries; leading recruitment activities utilizing volunteers such as faculty, staff from other offices, students, alumni and community members. • Prepares and administers the budget for the Office of Admissions. • Works with the offices of Student Accounts, Advising, Financial Aid, Registrar, Athletics, EOF, Union Honors and all academic departments to support students' recruitment and transition into enrollment at the College. • Works with the Communications Center, and College Relations to develop effective marketing strategies, target markets, and promotional materials and assure timely distribution to all constituent groups. • Ensures that promotional material inventories and supplies are maintained and updated, and that promotional material contained in recruitment correspondences remain current and relevant. • Monitor's regulations from accrediting bodies, state, and federal legislation, and regulations that may impact enrollment. • Serves on relevant internal and external committees. • Performs related duties as assigned. Education Requirements • Master's degree required. Experience • Minimum three-years supervisory experience required. • At least five years' experience in college student admissions required, and hands on experience developing and implementing a strategic enrollment management plan. • Demonstrable experience utilizing Customer relationship management (CRM) systems required. • Experience with Ellucian CRM Recruit, and Colleague student information system preferred. Competencies and Skills Required • Must possess robust knowledge of strategic enrollment management. • Data collection and data analysis skills are required. • Marketing and sales skills are required. • Working knowledge of social media platforms • Ability to incorporate appropriate technologies in the recruitment process. • Must possess strong customer service skills to interact tactfully with students, the general public, faculty, and other staff members as well as a customer services training background. • Must be a quick study in order to quickly grasp knowledge of policies and procedures relating to every aspect of student services that a prospective or current student may utilize. • Analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. • Ability to take required initiative to solve problems. • Ability to collaborate with others. • Commitment to student service and a diverse population. • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Ability to adapt to change and work well in a dynamic environment. • Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Physical Demands and Work Environment • This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. • Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. • No or very limited exposure to physical risk. • Some travel required. Terms of Employment Full Time. Flexible schedule to meet department needs. Some evening, weekends, and extended hours will be required. Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to all on and off-campus sites as needed by the college. Mandatory overtime is required throughout the year, especially at peak times.
