Director of Engineering – Composite Launch Structures

Are you ready to lead cutting-edge engineering at scale? A global space systems company is seeking a Director of Engineering to head their US launch structures division. You'll oversee a multidisciplinary team spanning design, systems, M&P, analysis, and manufacturing engineering – supporting the build and delivery of large, complex composite structures used in major spaceflight programs.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading a growing US engineering team, working across design, stress, M&P, and production support
• Acting as the senior technical contact for customers on launcher structures programs
• Driving continuous improvement across tools, process, and engineering quality
• Supporting development, series production, and R&D initiatives across US and international sites
• Owning departmental budgets, people leadership, and cross-site collaboration

What you'll bring:

• Background in aerospace or high-performance composites (metallic and non-metallic)
• Strong technical grounding across design and manufacturing of complex structures
• 10+ years in engineering leadership, ideally within launchers or spacecraft systems
• Experience building high-performing teams and scaling engineering output
