The BD Director will find and build client and corporate relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain contracts. This role manages the identification of opportunities to build a pipeline that is consistent with achieving the company's strategic goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise employees in the Business Development & Proposals Department. May carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical, Legal or related degree required. A Master's Degree preferred.A minimum of ten (10) years government contracting, operations, program management, or systems engineering experience preferred. Three (3) years DoD specialized acquisitions experience preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I Program Management certification (or military service or DoD Component equivalent certification) desired.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, SharePoint, and Project Management software.
