Join Our Team as a Director of Dining Operations!
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences? As the Director of Dining Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing dining services across all self-operated Life Plan Communities. We are looking for a strategic leader dedicated to providing outstanding hospitality that aligns with our mission and values.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire dining teams to consistently exceed our hospitality standards.
- Take charge of major initiatives and transitions within community dining operations.
- Develop core competencies for dining leaders to enhance service delivery.
- Create and implement policies and programs that improve dining experiences across locations.
- Design and deliver training tailored to diverse dining venues and services.
- Oversee recipe and menu systems, inventory management, and point-of-sale platforms.
- Contribute to budget development and manage costs to maintain financial efficiency.
- Evaluate new initiatives and provide feedback for improvement.
- Engage with residents and team members to enhance the dining experience through actionable insights.
- Build strong relationships to foster collaboration and community.
- Work closely with leadership to drive satisfaction and service enhancements.
- Establish feedback mechanisms from frontline teams to spur innovation.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance in food preparation and service.
- Ensure compliance with all food handling and safety regulations.
- Collaborate on procurement strategies to improve food quality and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor community performance, sharing best practices and improvement opportunities.
- Assist communities during staffing transitions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support special events and functions as required.
To thrive in this position, you should have:
- A degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related fields preferred; or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in multi-unit environments.
- Background in healthcare or long-term care is ideal.
- A proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles focused on personalized dining experiences.
- Solid operational and financial acumen with cost management expertise.
- Experience leading teams through change and driving continuous improvement.
- A commitment to our mission, showcasing a servant-leader mindset.
- A passion for enhancing the dining experience for residents and guests.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to support various communities.

Compensation: $150,000-170,000, based on experience and geographic location, plus performance-based bonuses.
Location: This remote position involves travel; candidates must reside in states where HumanGood operates, with a preference for Washington and California.
