Position Summary:

The Director of Digestive Disease Service Line & Endoscopy Operations is a clinically competent leader with endoscopy procedural experience and a strategic mindset. This role is responsible for the overall clinical, operational, financial, and strategic performance of the Digestive Disease service line, including direct oversight of hospital and outpatient Endoscopy departments.The Director collaborates closely with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative leaders to ensure alignment in care delivery, quality outcomes, and patient experience. This position serves as a mentor and resource to staff, promotes a team-based care model, and drives continuous improvement across the service line.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Service Line Leadership

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Digestive Disease service line in alignment with organizational goals.

• Monitor performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve access, quality, and patient satisfaction.

• Collaborate with physician leaders to standardize care pathways and enhance clinical integration.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee daily operations of both hospital and outpatient Endoscopy departments as well as SCMG clinic operations.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical protocols.

• Manage staffing, scheduling, equipment, and supply chain logistics.

Clinical & Quality Leadership

• Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.

• Act as a resource for clinical problem-solving and escalation .

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence in patient care.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage budgets for the service line and procedural areas.

• Monitor financial performance and implement cost- saving opportunities .

Team Development

• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and engaged work environment.

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

• BSN required; MSN preferred.

• Minimum of two (2) years management experience in a procedural area.

• Three (3) years of Endoscopy and/or procedural experience required .

• Specialty certification in GI or procedural care preferred.

• CPR and other relevant clinical certifications preferred .
