The Director Continuous Improvement is responsible for the thoughtful application of the continuous improvement practices for the commercial organization. This role is a partner to the Operations leader and must advocate, uphold, and innovate our Business System capabilities at all levels within the Operations teams, inclusive of the functional leadership partner(s). The successful candidate will have executive presence and the ability to drive to results as a trusted member of the senior commercial leadership team. This individual will lead from the front and help the commercial leader prioritize the most impactful actions and countermeasures to risk with consistent data-driven insights.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Strategy and Policy Deployment: Provides support and guidance to the team on how to apply CI tools to Operations components of Strat & PD and translates strategy into actionable goals.
- HVO and Operations Equation: Supports the Operations organization and relevant Operations Leader(s) in assessing the Operations Organization with the Holistic View of Operations (HVO) and managing to the Operations Equation, utilizes both to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage Operations Kaizen Funnel: Prioritizes and aligns a Kaizen Funnel for main Operations Initiatives – and supports the teams by ensuring Kaizen Standards, Best Practices, and Sustainment.
- Manage Operations Certification Pipeline: Builds continuous improvement skills across the company by helping the Operations Leader prioritize CI tool certification needs, identify candidates, and supports those candidates throughout the process.
- Teach CI and Nurture CI Culture: Leads CI-related events and trainings and serves as the CI standard-bearer for the Operations Organization.
- Drive CI Fundamentals into the Operations Org: Ensures that CI Fundamentals are adopted and used appropriately within the region, advocating the use of daily management, problem-solving (PSP) with urgency and a bias toward action.
- Oversee Deployment of Operations CI Tools: Assures appropriate use, proper deployment, and ongoing sustainment of new CI Tools – and drives for innovation in the creation of tools by the Company when possible.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years in a sales, sales management, sales operations, or similar role OR equivalent time in a position dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Analytical Tools industry or similar experience a plus.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel – 40 % travel, overnight, within the US.
