We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Director of Civil Engineering to join our client and play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and technical excellence. As the Technical Director, you will work closely with the company founders to lead and oversee all technical aspects of projects, ensuring successful completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in projects at a high technical level, from their inception to completion.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring effective execution and delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to develop optimal engineering solutions.

• Establish and implement project controls, including scope management, schedule adherence, and budgetary considerations.
• Monitor project progress and identify areas of improvement, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.

• Develop and implement rigorous QA/QC processes to ensure that engineering designs and deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.
• Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents, reports, and plans to maintain the highest level of quality.

• Take the lead in addressing complex engineering design problems, demonstrating expertise in civil engineering principles and best practices.
• Foster an environment of creativity and innovation within the engineering team to drive continuous improvement.

• Efficiently manage project workload and resource allocation to maximize team productivity and project efficiency.
• Prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables, maintaining a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

• Serve as a resource and mentor to younger engineers, providing technical training and guidance to foster their professional growth and development.
• Encourage a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing within the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Proven experience with 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site development engineering and technical leadership.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Extensive knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations related to civil engineering.
• Strong proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
