The Director of Center Stores oversees the sales, marketing and merchandising for the entire company/locations and reports to the Director of Operations of the company. This position overseas all non-perishable departments which include grocery, frozen, dairy, and general merchandise. Responsibilities include but not limited to making purchasing and pricing decisions for all stores, writing advertising and promotional programs, controlling pricing margins, and developing new items and programs that drive sales. • Serve as the key contact with the Primary wholesaler as it pertains to events, promotions, monetary or nonmonetary donations.
• Serve as the key contact for IGA ad programs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchase contracts, food safety and health department code.
• Serve Safe certification is encouraged but not required.
• 3 to 5 years experience in a related position (preferably food) dealing with purchasing, inventory control, and vendor contracts.
• Strong supervisory and management skills relative to successful operation and execution of all areas of the center departments.
• Well organized with strong planning skills.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Strong computer background.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Working Conditions: Physical effort (up to 50 pounds).
• Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling,

hand/eye/foot coordination, repetitive motions, talking.Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.Communicate: Ability to represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
