OBSUMMARY :

Assists VP of Operations / AGM in developing the overall strategic plan and directs the ongoing operations of our Table Games, Slot Operations, Casino Bars, Slot Performance, and EVS teams at Horseshoe Council Bluffs.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : Casino Operations Managers, Poker Manager, Slot Performance Manager, EVS Supervisor

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

Develops and implements strategies for customer service, comping, game layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management to maximize profitability.

Enhances results through staff development and training, establishing methods, procedures, and guidelines to maintain high standards and quality service, with results monitored via inspection, evaluation, and analysis. Implements changes as necessary to achieve objectives.

Ensures optimal operations and consistent high-quality standards during all business hours.

Manages department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost and labor analyses, planning, and promotions.

Maintains vendor relationships, negotiates purchases of table games equipment, and oversees new game implementations.

Hires, trains, and develops team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management, including separations when necessary.

Ensures daily operations' integrity, compliance, and training with all regulatory, internal control, and company policies and procedures.

Builds guest relations through visibility, soliciting feedback, and responding professionally to concerns to resolve issues.

Represents the company positively and encourages others to do the same.

Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Leads ethically and in full compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, identifying and minimizing compliance risks, fostering a culture of honesty and integrity, and encouraging reporting of misconduct.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma required, college degree preferred.

At least 5 years of progressively challenging experience in gaming operations, with specific table games experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Ability to analyze business strategies, budgets, P&L statements, and business plans.

Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Proficiency with computers and software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

Strong managerial, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment within policies.

Excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.

Calm, decisive decision-making in stressful situations involving co-workers, guests, and vendors.

Availability to work multiple shifts, including swing and weekends.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, and mobility around the property, with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks in various work areas.

Demonstrates integrity and adherence to standards required by a regulated business.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.

Capable of tolerating secondhand smoke, noise, temperature variations, lighting, vibration, crowds, and air quality issues.
