This role advises students and alumni on career development in both individual and group settings, fosters campus-wide collaborations and strengthens partnerships with faculty and administrative units. The Director designs student programming based on research and employer feedback to support career readiness and long-term success. Specific duties include developing and implementing a strategic career services plan, supervising Career Center staff, providing advanced career counseling, partnering with faculty and staff to enhance career readiness initiatives, developing accessible programs and resources, planning career-related outreach and events, serving as a liaison between the university and employers, managing budgets and grants, representing the university in various forums, establishing communication channels for career opportunities, collecting and analyzing data on career readiness and employment outcomes, collaborating on university programs, developing relationships with local businesses, chairing the Career Advisory Committee, promoting an inclusive student-centered approach, making data-informed decisions, fostering collaboration and teamwork, and performing other duties including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, education, counseling, or related field, at least five years of experience in Career Services or related roles, demonstrated ability to develop career programs, experience collaborating with faculty and employers, budget management skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, and proficiency with career management systems such as Handshake.
