Description
Position Purpose: The purpose of the Warehouse Automation SME is to provide specialized knowledge, guidance, and leadership implementing, optimizing, and maintaining warehouse automation systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec
- Works safely at all times
- Automate storage and retrieval system (AS/RS)
- Robotics (e.g., pick-and-place arms, AMRs)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager

Position Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience
- Experience working with warehouse automation management systems
- Experience working with autonomous guided vehicles
- Experience leading and managing multiple projects
- Experience reviewing RFQs/RFPs
- Experience designing systems, ordering parts, overseeing assembly, and developing customized solutions
- Experience interacting, engaging, and gathering requirements from customers
- Experience working with budgets, estimates, sales, and building industry contacts
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces from 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
