Locum Tenens Medical Partners (LTMP) is a leading provider of locum tenens staffing solutions, dedicated to supporting healthcare facilities with exceptional physician and advanced practice provider coverage. As we expand our footprint in the Northeast, we are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth efforts across New York and Pennsylvania, two of our highest-priority markets.

Position Overview:

As the Director of Business Development for New York and Pennsylvania, you will lead strategic client acquisition and regional expansion initiatives across hospital systems, health networks, community health centers, and private groups. You will be responsible for developing new relationships, nurturing existing accounts, and driving sustainable revenue growth in both states.

This role is ideal for someone with strong locum tenens or healthcare staffing experience, a deep understanding of the NY and PA healthcare markets, and a proven track record in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development strategy focused on client acquisition and market penetration in New York and Pennsylvania.
  • Identify high-potential provider groups, hospitals, and health systems to introduce LTMP's locum tenens services.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set territory goals, revenue targets, and account strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers (C-suite, medical directors, HR/staffing leaders).
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and onboarding clients.
  • Maintain regular communication and performance reporting for active accounts.
  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends, state-specific regulations, and locum tenens policies in NY and PA.
  • Represent LTMP at regional conferences, networking events, and association meetings.
  • Provide client feedback and insights to internal teams to inform service improvements.
  • Work closely with recruiting, operations, and credentialing teams to ensure timely provider placements and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with marketing to generate regional lead-generation campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's a plus).
  • 5–10 years of healthcare staffing experience, with at least 3 years in locum tenens or physician staffing a PLUS.
  • Deep understanding of the New York and Pennsylvania healthcare ecosystems (hospital systems, regional trends, state licensing, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in regional business development and territory growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout NY and PA (up to 40%).
