The Director of Brand Sales for ABSCO/AMAZON/West Region at La Colombe reports to the VP of Brand Sales. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies, business development, and managing the RTD (Ready-to-Drink) business in ABSCO and AMAZON, along with key western regional customers such as Stater Raley's, SaveMart, and others. The position requires leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and customer relationship management in a fast-paced environment.

This role is vital for ensuring La Colombe's RTD products reach customers effectively, maintaining strong partnerships and financial discipline. The Director will be a strategic leader and hands-on manager, driving growth and operational excellence in the western regional market.

Responsibilities

The Director of Brand Sales will serve as a strategic leader for La Colombe's RTD business, working closely with external partners like Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) and internal teams such as Commercial Strategy, Customer Finance, and Marketing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies to meet volume and revenue targets across key customers in the west region.
  • Collaborating with KDP National Account teams to ensure sales success, manage omni-channel expenses, and uphold financial stewardship.
  • Creating short- and long-term joint business plans with internal and external stakeholders including Commercial, Shopper Marketing, Shopper Insight, Finance, and Category Management.
  • Monitoring customer performance, service levels, and product availability, and providing innovative solutions for challenges.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador and expert alongside KDP for key accounts.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with RTD merchants, understanding their needs and strategies, and aligning with La Colombe's KPIs.
  • Representing customer insights internally to influence resource allocation and strategic focus.
  • Assisting in developing impactful selling materials for the La Colombe execution team.
  • Understanding ABSCO's internal structure and go-to-market strategies thoroughly.
  • Leading and developing at least one regional manager as a direct report, fostering leadership within the team.
  • Requirements
    • A bachelor's degree is required.
    • At least 7 years of experience in consumer packaged goods, including sales and/or category management.
    • Proven customer relationship experience and strong leadership skills.
    • Effective people management and influencing cross-functional leadership.
    • Strong negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in reporting systems such as IRI and Nielsen, and Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
