Join a San Diego landmark and lead the Banquets Department at Town and Country Resort, a celebrated historic icon at the heart of Mission Valley. With over 295,000 square feet of versatile event space, the resort is renowned for hosting dynamic conventions, elegant galas, and unforgettable celebrations. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Banquets to oversee all banquet operations, elevate service standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Provide strategic leadership for all banquet operations, ensuring the highest level of service and guest satisfaction.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee execution of all banquet functions, including meetings, weddings, conferences, and corporate events.

Collaborate with Sales, Culinary, and Event Services teams to ensure seamless event execution.

Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing team of banquet managers, captains, and servers.

Manage labor and budgetary controls to maximize profitability while maintaining service excellence.

Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in banquet or event operations within a full-service hotel, resort, or large-scale conference center.
• Proven experience managing high-volume events and large teams in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and labor management.
• Commitment to excellence, hospitality, and guest satisfaction.
