FirstHealth of the Carolinas – a private, community-based health care network serving the mid-Carolinas, nationally recognized as a top 150 place to work in health care by Becker's Healthcare for the last three years – is seeking a proven leader manage daily operations for busy anesthesia service across four hospital campuses.

About the Opportunity:

  • Hospital employed full-time position (W2).
  • Mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities to include the main hospital and 3 other facilities within FirstHealth of the Carolinas.
  • Develop and lead a high functioning team of 50 employed CRNAs that collaborates with other members of medical and surgical staff to deliver optimal outcomes and exceptional patient care.
  • Fast-paced environment, efficient OR turnovers.
  • Exposure to a diversity of cases, with patients of all ages and ASA levels in General, Ortho, OB (C-section), GYN, Vascular, Neuro, Robot, GI, Bronchoscopy, and low volume Peds cases.

Qualifications:

  • NC RN license, completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program, and NBCRNA certification.
  • MD/DO Anesthesiologists are also welcome to apply.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role, with experience managing resources, developing departmental budgets, and optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including but not limited to the ability to motivate a diverse team, exceptional interpersonal abilities, adept at conflict resolution, and exhibiting role model behavior.
  • Minimum 5 years of CRNA experience. Prefer candidates with recent clinical practice.
  • Clean background, unrestricted NC licensure, and AHA ACLS certification.
