What You'll Do
The Director's primary areas of responsibility include:
New Admissions/Retention
- Lead a mission-aligned strategy to build a strong and diverse pool of well-qualified applicants, leading to 400 + new enrollments in year 1
- Refine & innovate with all aspects of the admissions process to consistently select strong-fit, right-match students
- Compellingly and consistently convey the unique value of an Avenues education to prospective and current families
- Lead a campus-wide strategy to cultivate deep family engagement and ensure strong year-over-year retention of mission-aligned families
Enrollment
- Shape and lead a clear, focused strategy to achieve overall campus enrollment goals
- Ensure a superlative family experience during admissions and throughout every family's trajectory at Avenues
- Ensure that the campus leadership team is highly engaged with achieving enrollment goals
- Advance the financial aid strategy to adapt to evolving market conditions
Marketing
- Set the strategic marketing and admissionsdirection for Avenues NY in collaboration with colleagues across Avenues and Nord Anglia Education
- Lead a bold, integrated strategy to elevate brand awareness and drive enrollment across all channels
- Ensure a compelling, high-impact message reaches prospective and current families at every touchpoint
- Deeply engage school leadership and faculty in advancing key marketing and enrollment goals
- Ensure creative and digital teams tell an authentic, resonant story of the school's mission and community
Team and School Leadership
- Lead, coach, and inspire a school-based admissions, enrollment, and marketing team to aim for flawless execution of the highest standards
- Collaborate with senior leaders (e.g., Head of School, Campus Leadership Team) and regional counterparts to ensure cohesive messaging and promote whole-school engagement in student recruitment
- Support school-wide initiatives that promote school culture, community, and the well-being of the entire Avenues community
- Ensure the strong use of accurate data to drive decision making, track progress, and identify opportunities and challenges
- Manage the marketing and admissions collective budget to ensure maximum value
- Support and execute on priorities set by the campus leadership team

If hired for this position, the annual salary range for this position is between $240,000 - $290,000. The salary may vary depending on your experience and skills. Benefits for the role include medical, dental, life insurance, 401K savings plan, generous paid time off, family forming benefits, health and wellness benefits, and more.

- 10+ years of professional experience, with a deep understanding of private school admissions in the NYC (or equivalent) market
- Extraordinary relationship skills, particularly with families and colleagues
- A near-fanatical commitment to delivering the best possible admissions experience
- A deep embrace of understanding and using data to drive decision making
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach, eager to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges
- A record of achieving and exceeding ambitious goals, especially through growth and change
- Sophisticated understanding of financial aid strategy as a lever for access and enrollment growth
- Management acumen, to build, develop, retain and lead a high-performing team
- Keen intellectual curiosity and a mindset of openness and continual learning
- Exceptional ability to communicate compellingly one-on-one, in public, and in writing
