Director Nursing 3 (Psychiatric)
Kingsboro Psychiatric Center (KPC), a Joint Commission accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility is recruiting a Director Nursing 3 (Psychiatric) to serve as the Chief Nursing Officer and is a member of KPC's executive management team.
As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will oversee and manage KPC's nursing department including nursing and direct care services provided to individuals with mental illness in inpatient, outpatient, residential and community setting including:
- Implementing nursing policies, procedures, programs, goals, and objectives
- Overseeing recruitment, training, and continuing education for nursing and direct care staff
- Monitoring staffing, assignments, and scheduling to ensure quality care
- Ensuring nursing operations are in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards of care
- Preparing for regulatory visits and surveys
As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will oversee and manage KPC's nursing department and all nursing and direct care services provided to individuals with mental illness in inpatient, outpatient, residential and community setting including:
- Setting a vision for nursing care delivery and professional practice models that aligns with KPC and OMH mission
- Implementing compliance and regulatory process structures to meet Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and Standards and OMH regulatory requirements
- Overseeing the integration of mental health, primary care, and substance abuse treatment to support individualized treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery
- Addressing critical change management factors essential to support a culture of excellence in patient care
- Mentoring and professional development of nursing staff, managers, and educators; establishing and implementing a progressive vision for the training, and continuing education for nursing and direct care staff
- Overseeing recruitment, retention, supervision, and evaluation of nursing and direct care staff
- Monitoring staffing, assignments, and scheduling to ensure quality care

Additional comments:
Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for M/C M-4 ($127,507), an Increase Hiring Rate ($22,268), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000), and Downstate Adjustment ($4,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($160,911), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and the Downstate Adjustment ($4,000).
