Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for supervising, directing, planning, and coordinating the daily operations of the assigned Practice locations.

The Director provides oversight to encompass: Patient Satisfaction Quality of Care Staff Development

Daily Operations

Patient Satisfaction

Responsibilities include:

Observe and monitor patient/staff interaction and provide feedback to staff.

Mentor, educate and role model customer service for staff.

Address patient concerns that cannot be adequately addressed by the staff.

Interact with patients and their families as needed.

Assist Providers with patient interaction issues.

Present suggestions regarding improvement in patient care.

Ensure that each staff member is able to effectively manage patient concerns.

Active participation in Patient Satisfaction Surveys as needed.

Assist in the implementation of changes in the system/Practice

Ensure that HIPPA, OSHA and Infection Control guidelines are complied with at each site. Ensure efficient patient care flow, including but not limited to: intake and discharge procedures v/ after care appointment and testing scheduling secure preauthorization as needed follow up for all no show and cancelled appointments Ensure appropriate and smart patient scheduling.

identify and seek correction of environmental issues which may affect patient care and/or patient/staff safety.

Participation as assigned in monitoring of quality measures.

As needed, assist with regulatory survey preparation and compliance.

Staff Development

Responsibilities include:

Oversight, assessment, and evaluation of staff performance. Implementation of re-education and/or corrective action plans as needed.

Ensure all staff receive consistent training and orientation. Responsive to staff needs for clarification of responsibilities as needed.

Review policies, procedures, HIPPA, OSHA and Infection Control guidelines with staff.

Implement and engage in group education and team-building exercises.

Patient scheduling.

Patient satisfaction. Maintain Provider schedules for daily visits, procedures, on call and personal time. Report the same to Medical Director.

Hiring, training, ongoing education, scheduling, performance monitoring and disciplinary action as needed for staff.

Oversight of physical sites and collaboration with Plant Ops staff as needed for repairs and maintenance.

Oversight of all medical and non-medical supply needs.

Overall responsibility to ensure all patient collections which occur within office based setting are collected, reconciled, and submitted to Revenue Cycle staff.

As assigned, oversight of Revenue Cycle team to include but not limited to: ensure all billing is current pre-authorizations are accurate and completed on a timely basis denials are monitored and analyzed all revenue functions are closely monitored v/ revenue results analyzed

As needed, provide assistance to Revenue Cycle team to liaison with Providers regarding medical record completion and other related tasks to ensure billing is timely. Other duties as assigned.

The Director will conduct him/herself in accordance with the standards set forth in the organization's policies and procedures established for the governance of employees of St. John's Medical Group. It is the responsibility of the Director to be familiar with the aforementioned organizational policies and procedures

The Director may be engaged in prolonged periods of standing and sitting, typing and local traveling. Patient care/contact, assisting patients, lifting of charts, supplies are also anticipated

Qualifications

Minimum experience of 3 years of medical office leadership experience required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills is needed.

Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications is needed

A Valid NY State Driver's license or ability to travel within Westchester County is required
