Key Responsibilities
- Act as the organization's lead media contact and spokesperson; prepare and support spokespeople across the organization.
- Develop and implement strategies for responding to media inquiries in collaboration with leadership and global teams.
- Work closely with investor relations, government relations, and external affairs on media-related initiatives.
- Design and execute proactive and reactive media plans aligned with brand goals and reputation management.
- Contribute to community engagement and stakeholder outreach efforts.
- Produce high-quality communications materials including talking points, Q&As, briefing documents, and media pitches.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; advise on media opportunities and executive visibility.
- Lead crisis communications related to media and external influencers; serve as the primary contact during issues management.
- Create and manage executive communication platforms for senior leadership.
- Oversee media training programs.
- Lead content distribution across traditional and digital media channels; advise on emerging technologies and platforms.
- Monitor media coverage and apply insights to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with communications peers to shape strategy and manage budgets and resources.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10+ years in communications or public relations, ideally within a B2B, publicly traded multinational company.
- 7+ years of leadership in media relations, including global media experience; community/government relations experience is a plus.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching and career development.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis and issues communications.
- Strong command of AP style and editorial standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
