The Role
Ascenda is on a mission to power the growth of Financial Institutions & merchants and we are seeking a hands-on, dynamic Director of Marketing Engagement to play a pivotal role in evolving our client marketing function globally. Reporting directly to the SVP, Strategic Clients & Loyalty Marketing, the Director of Marketing Engagement will lead and transform how we co-create and execute marketing strategies with our top-tier banking clients. This is not a traditional marketing role; instead, you will act as a strategic marketing advisor and operator in client delivery, responsible for bringing the best of our global marketing know-how to each client engagement.
You will work cross-functionally with our Product and Partnerships teams to drive customer engagement outcomes, land high-performing campaigns, influence product build, and develop scalable go-to-market frameworks for future launches.
Your Impact
Client Marketing Leadership : Act as the strategic marketing lead across key banking clients, owning the marketing workstream from planning to execution. Champion a marketing-first mindset that transforms how our clients engage their customers Campaign Development & Execution : Design and launch omnichannel marketing campaigns that drive card acquisition, program engagement, and loyalty redemption, serving both client goals and customer needs Marketplace Activation : Bridge the needs of clients and merchant partners to create high-impact, time-sensitive campaigns that align incentives across our two-sided marketplace Data-Driven Storytelling : Translate campaign performance and behavioural data into compelling, insight-rich narratives that influence stakeholders and guide decision-making Performance Marketing & ROI Optimization : Define campaign success metrics, report on outcomes, and proactively identify opportunities to improve ROI and scale results Cross-Functional Partnership : Collaborate across Product, Client Success, and Partnerships teams to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with business priorities and scalable across clients Operational Excellence & Enablement : Develop scalable frameworks, go-to-market strategies, and best-practice resources that enhance the quality, efficiency, and consistency of our client marketing initiatives

Who You Are
8+ years of marketing experience with a strong focus on client, performance, or partner marketing—ideally within B2B2C models such as fintech, marketing SaaS, financial services, or loyalty ecosystems, especially in client-facing or consultative roles. Proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder marketing initiatives from strategy through to execution—balancing commercial, operational, and creative priorities. Hands-on and self-directed, with a bias for action and the ability to turn ideas into results quickly in a fast-paced, agile environment. Deep understanding of loyalty mechanics (e.g., points, cashback), and how to apply them to influence customer behaviour and drive client value. Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from limited data and translate them into impactful marketing decisions. Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to influence across senior client stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams.
