We're partnering with a leading life sciences organization to identify a strategic IT leader for the role of Director, IT Corporate Business Systems & Enterprise Applications. This is a high-impact opportunity where technology, leadership, and business strategy converge. In this role, you'll report directly to senior IT leadership and play a pivotal role in defining and executing enterprise systems strategy, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA, across key corporate functions including Finance, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, and Communications

You'll lead a small, high-performing team and drive transformational initiatives that modernize SAP-driven platforms, ensure compliance, and strengthen the technology foundation of a mission-driven, innovation-focused organization

What You'll Do

• Lead strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of core corporate systems (Finance, HR, Legal, etc.)
• Drive SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Power Platform (O365, Power Apps) initiatives from roadmap through execution
• Partner with executive stakeholders to design and implement scalable, compliant enterprise solutions
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain strong IT General Controls (ITGC), with support from a dedicated SOX lead
• Oversee vendor partnerships, RFPs, contracts, and service delivery management
• Manage and mentor a collaborative IT team focused on performance and innovation
• Support enterprise-wide projects, system upgrades, and full-cycle SAP implementations

Must-Have Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT leadership experience focused on enterprise business systems
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (2022 or later)
• Deep understanding of FICO and core finance processes (AR, AP, GL)
• Strong knowledge of SOX, ITGC, and governance in regulated environments
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-scale projects
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharma, or other FDA-regulated industries
• Familiarity with Computer System Validation (CSV) and IT Change Controls
• Exposure to EPM, HCM, BI, or Legal Management systems
