Milacron is seeking a Director of Global Infrastructure & Operations to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This role will be based at Milacron headquarters in Batavia. As the Director of Global Infrastructure & Operations, you will oversee planning, strategy, and management of IT Infrastructure and Operations functions.

The primary responsibilities include managing hardware platforms, network, voice and data center operations (including on-premises and cloud), end-user computing, service desk support, network security, application support, system integration, security access, productivity tools, and disaster recovery. You will also establish and manage relationships with vendors supporting IT infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have a background in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, security, corporate policies, and client systems, with strong technical and communication skills. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.

What You'll Do
  • Influence and lead the selection of cloud data technologies, including evaluation, pilots, and business case development.
  • Design and execute enterprise data infrastructure projects.
  • Enable self-service cloud data capabilities using infrastructure-as-code.
  • Develop standards and best practices for cloud data deployment.
  • Create short and long-term strategies for IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Develop roadmaps and financial forecasts for IT infrastructure.
People, Process, Policies & Culture
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive innovation through emerging infrastructure trends.
  • Lead the global support and operations team, emphasizing customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit and manage engineering teams.
Monitoring & Performance
  • Assess performance of hardware and software assets.
  • Manage 24/7 systems and incident response.
  • Report on KPIs and industry trends.
Security & Compliance
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and policies.
  • Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance with standards like ISO and PCI.
Licensing & Support
  • Maintain software and hardware assets.
  • Manage refresh cycles.
Operational & Vendor Management
  • Collaborate on operational issues.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, and SLAs.
Service Management
  • Oversee the service desk team.
  • Implement ITIL/ITSM practices and meet SLA metrics.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure, including data centers, virtualization, networks, support, and security.
  • Experience managing diverse, global teams.
  • 7+ years leadership experience.
  • 5+ years managing IT service desks.
  • Experience in high-availability cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Proven ability to develop business cases and financial assessments.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud operations and cybersecurity tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
