Position Summary

Under the general oversight of the President and CEO and the fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Director of Information and Technology (DIT) is responsible for overseeing the organization's Information and Technology programs, managing technical infrastructure, systems (cloud-based and local) and data integrity to ensure efficient and secure operations that support the organization's technological and informational needs. This position optimizes operational efficiency and supports strategic innovation and scaling of these systems as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies that support the organization's current and future information and technology goals and objectives.
  • With the fractional CTO and the Managed Service Provider, oversee the management and performance of the organization's technology and information systems, including networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity and enterprise applications.
  • Establish and enforce information and technology policies, procedures and standards to ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations, in collaboration with the fractional CTO.
  • Develop the information and technology budget to forecast current and projected needs; manage the budget, vendor relationships and procurement to ensure cost-effective and high-quality equipment and services.
  • Asset and inventory management, tracking hardware and software assets, managing lifecycle and proper disposal of obsolete technology.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures; lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution, including information and technology audits and risk assessments to protect data and systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to assess data and technology needs and deliver solutions that meet operational and strategic requirements.
  • Work with leadership and departments to help them effectively utilize technology applications within their areas of responsibility; support educational efforts to facilitate technological proficiency.
  • Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance the organization's operations.
Minimum QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience, including managing teams, budgets, and enterprise systems.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, cybersecurity, ERP/CRM systems, and infrastructure management.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day IT operations.
  • Ability to remain calm, deliberate, and tactful in stressful and emotional situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities to deliver from initiation to completion.
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and cybersecurity standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
