**Description**

**Responsibilities:**

* Recruit and develop team members and provide regular education opportunities for department growth

* Create and manage team member assignments and schedules

* Communicate effectively with hospital administration and other departments to set clear expectations and to align goals

* Collaborate with registered dietitians and executive chefs to develop menus

* Manage vendor relationships and food ordering inventory

* Implement team building initiatives to create a positive and safe work environment

* Manage the food service department budget

* Conduct quality reviews to ensure the facility is meeting industry standards and compliance

* Collaborate with the regional vice president to establish improvement strategies

**Requirements:**

* Associates degree, required

* Bachelors degree in food service management, preferred

* ServSafe Food Service Manager Certification, required

* 5 years of food operations experience

* Minimum 3 years management experience

* Hospital experience, preferred

* Certified Dietary Manager Certification, preferred

* Ability to lead and manage a team

* Interpersonal skills, including the ability to build a rapport with facility administrators and team members

* Ability to multitask and problem solve

* Organizational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
