Director-Ethics, Cape Girardeau, MO - Mercy Health : Job Details

The Director - Ethics provides leadership to clinical ethics services through consultation, education, and policy development. This position serves the hospital and clinic by working collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, co-workers, and health ministry leaders to facilitate ethical decision-making consistent with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services and the integration of Mercy Values. The Director supports the integration of the mission of the Mercy Health Ministry by their participation and leadership of mission and formation activities. The Director-Ethics performs related duties as assigned in a manner consistent with the Mercy mission, values, and charism. This position reports to both the local Executive Director-Mission and the Executive Director-Ethics at the Ministry Office.
