The Director will provide leadership, guidance, and management oversight for the continuous improvement of CommonSpirit Health's standard EVS operating model within the facility. Creates a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques, process, and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure a clean, safe environment as we help save lives.

Leads all operational coordination for environmental services across one or multiple sites. Provides staff leadership, makes sound business decisions supporting CommonSpirit Health's mission, vision, and values. Ensures top-quality patient care, safety, service, and value.

Establishes policies, standard work, and objectives in collaboration with EVS leadership and multidisciplinary teams to maintain a clean, safe environment aligned with organizational values. Oversees daily operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and appearance for patients, visitors, families, physicians, nurses, and staff. Coordinates the overall operational model of Environmental Services.

• Creates and implements EVS strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Hardwires EVS departmental mission and vision, emphasizing education, quality service, integrity, and excellence (EQUIP).
• Develops and manages EVS budget and capital needs in collaboration with finance and leadership.
• Monitors EVS performance using dashboards and KPIs related to finance, quality, safety, patient experience, and employee engagement.
• Develops waste management programs compliant with regulations, including reporting and documentation.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Conducts quarterly performance reviews for EVS staff.
• Coordinates with contractors and supply chain for external care sites.
• Maintains all permits, licenses, and certificates.
• Calculates costs for expansions and new facilities.
• Integrates infection prevention and control standards into hygiene operations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of healthcare lifecycle costs for furniture and finishes.
• Fosters a positive organizational culture promoting employee well-being and engagement.

The above responsibilities are indicative and employees may perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least 5 years in Environmental Services or hospital-related services.
• 7+ years management experience, especially in staff management, preferred.
• CHESP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Google Suite; experience with MS Project, PM software, EVS software preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering executive presentations.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, TJC, DOT, CDC standards preferred.
