Director, Environmental Services - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Direct all Housekeeping/ Environmental Services functions and related facilities. Plan, organize, execute, and monitor all activities of Environmental Support Services so as to maintain the highest possible sanitary standards and positive public relations, by creating a clean, attractive and safe environment for patients, employees and visitors. Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements and guidelines. Prepare operational and capital budgets for the department as well as monthly and annual financial reports, as required. Direct and oversee all Environmental Services functions and related facilities. Compile and submit all reports pertaining to the regulated medical waste and waste management program as required by regulation. Develop, implement and revise departmental policies and procedures. Evaluate, select, inventory and procure the necessary supplies, equipment, etc., in order to effectively carry out the department's functions.
