Position Summary:
The Director of Engineering will lead a multidisciplinary team of technical experts to support engineering projects and manufacturing operations for medical device products. This role is responsible for lifecycle management of products and systems, strategic upgrades, and remediation programs. The position also oversees systems implementation (SCADA, data collection), automation, controls, mold design, packaging, and project management, ensuring compliance with company policies and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
Collaborate with stakeholders in support of manufacturing to establish user requirements associated with new equipment purchases and/or modifications.
Partner with stakeholders, team members, equipment design vendors and various internal resources in support of sustaining and growing the business model. This includes products, facilities, equipment, supply chain, services, staffing, operating procedures, policies and standards.
Establishes all user requirements associated with the design of new production lines, including individual pieces of manufacturing equipment.
Responsible for FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ and Commissioning of new equipment/molds and processes.
Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies as appropriate.
In collaboration with Human Resources, oversee and direct all performance management, training, development, job descriptions, and safety procedures for all Engineering personnel.
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated experience within an engineering specialty(s) area.
Understanding statistics and its application in Engineering.
Knowledge of GMPs both basic and unique to the department's specialty(s) area.
Knowledge of statistics (SPC, CPK, AQL, etc.)
Understanding of quality by design.
Excellent understanding of manufacturing methods related to the department specialty(s) area.
Project management skills stressing business, quality and customer requirements.
Preparation of a business cases and project prioritization.

Salary Range: $136,992 - $195,703 #ID #LI #EX
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
