State of New Hampshire Job PostingDepartment of Administrative ServicesDivision of Personnel54 Regional Drive Suite #5 Concord, NH 03301DIRECTOR DIVISION OF PERSONNELPosition # 9U031($97,057.00-$135,272.00 per year)The State of New Hampshire is seeking resumes of qualified candidates interested in the unclassified (Grade HH) position of the Director of the Division of Personnel.Summary:This is a leadership position in New Hampshire state government, serving in the state's key human resources role. The Division of Personnel is established under RSA 21-I:42 and is responsible for managing the state's centralized human resource (HR) operation to include employee recruitment and appointment, compensation, classification, leave, promotion, transfer, layoff, removal and discipline. In addition, the Director of the Division of Personnel oversees Labor Relations and the Bureau of Education and Training. Responsibilities include providing strategic and visionary leadership relative to the development and operation of the state's personnel system and its Human Resource Information System. This position requires effective collaboration and communication with all levels of state government including the Governor's Office, the Legislative and Judicial branches the Department of Justice, state agency leadership, agency HR staff and internal DAS business partners including the Divisions of Risk and Benefits, Accounting Services and Enterprise Applications Management. The - position is also responsible for developing and operating within a budget and providing reports required by statute or otherwise.Education:The preferred candidate shall possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.Experience:The preferred candidate will have at least ten years of progressive human resource management experience with five years of experience in the public sector specific to human resource administration. The ideal candidate will possess experience in State or local government in a leadership or administrative capacity, developing long range human resource plans as well as experience in the leadership and oversight of HR staff. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in all HR areas to include but not to be limited to employee relations, employee training and development, recruitment and onboarding, labor relations, classification and compensation, workforce development, HR systems and transaction audit and control.
