About Your Tasks and ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework across the federated data ownership model in IMSC (including Advanced Therapies)
- The governance framework spans from Master data in core transactional systems (including workflow that enable master data set up) to Data Assets for Analytical and AI applications and includes oversight across activities like data cataloguing, metadata management
- Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, GxP, SoX) and best practices (IDMP, ISO, FAIR).
- Establish KPIs and Measures to monitor adherence to polices and standards
- Design and implement data stewardship programs to promote accountability and ownership of data across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and quality assurance, to ensure cohesive data management practices.
- Create and manage a data governance council, facilitating regular meetings to review data governance metrics, issues, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead initiatives for data quality improvement, including data cleansing, validation, and monitoring processes.
- Provide training and resources to stakeholders on data governance best practices and tools.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes related to data management in the pharmaceutical supply chain and recommend necessary adjustments to governance strategies.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to support audits and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
About Your Skills and ExperienceQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Data Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements affecting data in pharmaceuticals (e.g., FDA, EMA, GDPR).
- Familiar with Industry Standards related to Data management in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience setting up federated data governance model and managing cross functional teams and projects
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data-related concepts to various stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Good understanding of Data needs for AI use cases
- Good knowledge and understanding of capabilities of state-of-the-art data technologies (data catalogues, Lakehouse, MDM workflow tools etc.)
