Job Description :

This finance group is looking for a Director of Credit Transactions to lead and manage individual deal teams in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of asset-based lending transactions of the firm at their NYC office.

A direct lender based in New York with almost $1 billion in AUM.

Job Description:
  • Lead deal teams in all aspects of structuring, negotiating and closing the Company's credit-related transactions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external counterparties throughout a credit-related transactions lifecycle.
  • Negotiate and execute term sheets, working with internal credit teams on all material deal terms including deal structure, collateral eligibility, advance rate, interest rate, financial covenants and performance triggers.
  • Supervise internal collaboration of cross-functional teams to conduct due diligence on borrower counterparties, including financial modeling, data analysis, legal and compliance review, and operational risk assessment.
  • Present proposed transactions, transaction updates, key risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and relevant committees.
  • Working with internal and external counsel to negotiate credit transaction documentation; w ork with senior management and external partners to design and optimize the capital structure and formation of credit-related transactions.
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 7 – 12 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or related areas, with a strong track record of successfully closing complex credit transactions (preferably receivables collateral-based).
  • Deep knowledge of credit structuring, including asset-based warehouse credit facilities, syndicated loans, corporate term loans, forward flow purchase facilities, and other financing arrangements backed by receivables collateral.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance , Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive transactions to a successful close.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional deal teams, manage external advisors, and coordinate with internal professionals across functions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and risk management practices relevant to private credit investments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
