The Opportunity:
Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Director, Commercial Strategy, who will be an integral member of the Corrugated Packaging Commercial Excellence Team. The Director will play a key role with the team that is responsible for commercial excellence and strategic support for Regional and End Market leadership.
The director will be directly involved in strategy development, customer profitability, driving seller efficiencies with tools and processes. This role will build a thorough understanding of the P&L and strategic accounts. This role will also support the preparation of internal and external commercial presentations, various analytics, and routine reporting.
This role will support Area Vice Presidents for Commercial as well as each of the Commercial End Market Segment Vice Presidents to accomplish their business initiatives. This position reports to Vice President, Commercial Excellence and partners with SVPs of Commercial for Corrugated Packaging.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Build and implement Commercial Go To Market Strategy for the Corrugated Division
Supplement strategic work with specific strategies for End Markets, Regions, Channels, etc
Provide analytical support and help identify, track, and improve key drivers affecting performance and results
Support pipeline and new growth with oversight of centralized CRM tool and reporting
Assist with developing reports required to provide financial insight for sales and operations
Create seller scorecards and managerial commercial reporting and automate processes where possible
Assist in coverage model creation and maintenance
Create standard customer experience via seller training, tools, value delivery methodology
Manage commercial onboarding and ever-boarding for Corrugated Division
Create and manage Key Account Planning process and cadence for strategic accounts
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Management; Master\u2019s preferred
10-25 years of experience
Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time
Good communication skills including the ability to interact credibly with management and leadership levels
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Alteryx, and Powerpoint
Experience in QlikCloud, Power BI
