Overview

Director, Commercial Performance Analytics & Insights

Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) harnesses data to drive analytical insights that inform Pfizer's critical business questions. The role works with senior stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) and other Pfizer groups to drive performance tracking and reporting for commercial performance, including product performance reporting, executive dashboards, omnichannel engagement reporting, and related insights. The position also standardizes and centralizes the commercial reporting ecosystem and helps implement best practices in performance reporting and insights generation. This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics essential to the business. The successful candidate will join the Performance Analytics team within Global Commercial Analytics, collaborating globally to drive business through proactive thought leadership, innovative research capabilities, and effective communication of complex information to leadership.

Role Responsibilities

  • Role definition and key accountabilities, including Commercial Performance Reporting & Tracking
  • Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting ecosystem
  • Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting
  • Lead identification of information needs and development of project plans to address those needs
  • Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into the infrastructure of care
  • Connect reporting insights to tell a compelling story and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaboration With Other Analytical Teams
  • Align with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders
  • Contribute to capability advancement through thought leadership and knowledge sharing
  • Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardization of performance metrics
  • Partner with other analytic functions to advance use of novel data sources and reporting (e.g., RWD, Data Science)
  • Technical Skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical and coding skills (Python, R, SQL), MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong ability to synthesize inputs and communicate the story to commercial leadership
  • Subject matter expert for quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies
  • Extensive experience in design and management of secondary data analytics
  • Experience with innovative techniques to monitor, simulate, and analyze complex data sets (preferred)
  • Ability to assess vendor capabilities and manage analytic risks
  • Flexibility, ability to prioritize, handle ambiguity, and lead cross-functional projects
  • Ability to connect analysis to clear strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making
  • Ability to establish trust with senior leadership
  • Identify and describe data caveats and uncertainties in relation to business questions and strategic priorities
  • Business/financial acumen
  • Qualifications
  • 8+ years' experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline
  • Analytics, statistics, and/or database knowledge and experience
  • Proven success in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
  • Ability to influence without authority and set direction, priorities, and actions
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service orientation
