Description:
The Director of College Operations and Analytics provides overall coordination of academic operations for the College of Human Science and Humanities (HSH). They plan, implement, and evaluate college-wide initiatives related to recruitment, communication, accountability, and technology in collaboration with college faculty, administration, and support units. The role involves working with college leadership to formulate, perform, and report data analyses, and serving as a liaison between the College and external University units involved in communications, assessment, technology, and recruiting.
Duties:
- Collaborate with college leadership to collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, including statistical analyses. Communicate findings via reports and presentations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff in the HSH Dean's Office as part of the college's administrative team.
- Work with University Marketing, Communications, and Advancement to expand audiences and support college initiatives.
- Lead the development and coordination of the College's communication strategies through the website, recruitment materials, and social media.
- Coordinate administrative support activities across college and department personnel, including full-time, part-time, and student employees.
- Manage responses to cyclical reporting activities and perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.At least five years of experience in advanced data analytics and reporting, including statistical analyses.Supervision experience of at least six staff members.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing independent data analyses supporting strategic planning.
- History of supervisory advancement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of techniques for data collection and analysis to address operational challenges.
- Understanding of management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and personnel management.
- Skills in developing communication strategies to promote organizational goals and achievements.
- Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Proficiency in data analytics and presentation software.
- Leadership skills in motivating and developing staff, and selecting suitable personnel for roles.
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Mathematical skills for selecting appropriate methods to solve problems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to organize and interpret information.
- Supervisory skills across multiple organizational levels.
