The Role

We're looking for a strategic and consultative business development leader who thrives at the intersection of marketing strategy, digital media, and client partnership. This role is an exciting opportunity to build a book of business from the ground up in our fast-growing Pharma vertical. You'll join a highly collaborative team of specialists (client partnership, campaign strategy, creative design, market insights, and more) and be empowered to work fluidly within a self-organizing environment. This is a chance to help grow our Pharma vertical in an environment that values ownership, collaboration, and constant learning.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Growth & Build Your Portfolio:

  • Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close—for brand-side marketers and agency partners
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities with brand-side marketers and agency partners in the pharmaceutical space
  • Collaborate closely with other Pharma vertical team members to ensure a compelling, consultative sales experience that drives long-term value

Deliver Strategic Solutions:

  • Understand each Pharma brand's unique marketing challenges through active listening and thoughtful discovery
  • Educate clients on how the associated VDX.tv pharma-specific solution can address their specific challenge
  • Lead client discovery, pitch, and consultative strategy sessions—both independently and other team members
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Pharma marketing strategies, including regulatory and privacy considerations
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with brand-side marketers and agency teams
  • Represent VDX.tv at client meetings, conferences, and industry events

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of business development experience in digital marketing
  • Proven track record in new business development within the Pharma industry
  • Strong ability to discuss a Pharma brand's marketing strategy with senior marketers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to build trust and relationships at all levels
  • Experience managing client relationships of all levels including with senior executives at brands and agencies
  • Proven success in consultative selling and client marketing strategy
  • Strategic thinking balanced with strong execution capabilities and hands-on approach
  • Self-motivated with ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations
  • Growth mindset with a hunger to learn
