Job Description: Director, Claims Specialty Lines at GEICO

Position Overview:
As the Director of Claims Specialty Lines, you will lead a skilled team to shape the future of claims management within the specialty lines sector, including Motorcycle, RV, and other non-auto vehicles. Your leadership will influence industry standards and drive operational excellence in constructing a liability division responsible for Specialty Lines claim handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead talent acquisition efforts by interviewing and selecting top candidates for claims operations. Mentor team members through performance evaluations, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions to maintain a high-performing team.Oversee the technical and clerical activities of field and staff claims operations, including claims handling and litigation.Coordinate claims processes with other departments to ensure seamless operations.Identify gaps in claims processes related to Specialty Lines, develop solutions collaboratively, and establish best practices for physical damage and casualty claims.Manage relationships with external resources by recommending the selection and termination of independent adjusters and attorneys.Represent GEICO at claim trials and oversee staff and independent claims personnel attendance.Authorize loss and expense payments within division authority, ensuring compliance with policies.Develop and review department business plans, staffing, and budgets to optimize costs and operational efficiency.Ensure adherence to GEICO's Code of Conduct, Claims Code of Conduct, and other policies.Maintain presence at the business location as needed to perform essential functions and facilitate team interactions.Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience within Specialty Lines claims.Extensive claims handling and litigation expertise, particularly in motorcycle and RV losses.Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.Exceptional problem-solving and strategic judgment abilities.Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing heavy call volumes and complex customer issues.Capability to perform essential functions such as seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking, with or without accommodations.Location:

Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary ranges from $120,950 to $189,625, based on factors such as experience, education, responsibilities, and market considerations. Benefits include:
