What you will do

You will develop dashboards, models, and tools to understand product, operational and client performance to influence and inform business strategies with effective data visualization and storytelling. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Operators and Engineers, identifying opportunities to track critical data, uncover insights and execute the analytics roadmap. You will synthesize large datasets, identify inefficiencies or losses, and recommend actionable improvements. This role blends analytics/BI proficiency, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership to enable data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a central BI & Delivery team that modernizes analytics operations, rationalizes and consolidates metrics to create insights analytics from data.
  • Accountability for transformation and outcomes of a business-aligned Point-of-Delivery team (data engineering, analytics, business partners) with direct and indirect leadership, managing a global team of analysts.
  • Lead and drive definition of KPIs to meet company goals in partnership with Provider Ops, Product and Engineering.
  • Identify, structure, and define data sets from various sources to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and delivery of actionable insights in collaboration with Product, Engineering and users.
  • Develop, create and maintain the curated source of truth for analytics and reporting for a business function.
  • Develop and mature a portfolio of analytics, including self-service tooling for business partners and customer-facing users to independently answer product, ops and customer questions.
  • Partner with Product Managers to establish a consistent set of KPIs and benchmarks to measure product performance.
  • Develop models and dashboards for use by Product Managers and stakeholders to track performance, highlight trends, establish business value, and expose inefficiencies.
  • Train users on available tools and dashboards, empowering them to derive insights independently.
  • Design, build, and maintain a data governance model.
  • Develop processes to manage data model changes, ensuring models are well-documented, version-controlled, and synced across teams and systems.
  • Continuously optimize data processes through improvement and automation.
  • Establish data quality metrics/monitoring.
  • Be a champion for data-driven decision making throughout the organization.
  • Engage stakeholders to drive consensus and adoption of analytics-driven strategies.
  • Perform complex analytics that cut across multiple areas.
  • Independently execute complex, cross-functional analytics projects to support leadership decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years managing high-performing analytics teams, owning end-to-end insights.
  • 7+ years experience in PowerBI, Sigma, Tableau or other data visualization & analysis tool.
  • 9+ years of experience in analytics development, data operations, or product analytics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in tools such as Redshift, Snowflake, or other data warehousing platforms.
  • Proven ability to synthesize large, complex datasets and generate actionable insights, and to build processes and teams that scale.
  • Experience identifying key metrics to track product performance and proactively addressing gaps in analytics processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for leading and collaborating across teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic leader with a track record of improving operational efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Compensation and benefits

At Datavant our total rewards strategy powers a high-growth, high-performance health technology company. The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates may differ based on level, responsibilities, skills, and experience. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $173,000—$217,000 USD.

Post-offer requirements

For patient and staff safety, many clients require post-offer health screenings and vaccinations. Exemptions may be possible on case-by-case basis per state law. This role is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
