Overview
Director, Business Development, Cross Border at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. This role focuses on winning new accounts within the assigned branch(es) territory and maximizing sales growth from existing customers through the development of new sales, product marketing, and customer support strategies. The base compensation range is $130,000 to $140,000 per year. In addition to base pay, you'll benefit from our competitive health and welfare programs, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, tuition assistance, and incentive compensation for eligible positions. Salary determination considers skills, experience, job location, internal pay equity and job architecture.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for Hellmann solutions and service sales in Cross Border Road Freight.
- Aggressively obtain new local customers through sales hunting, developing relationships, and correctly assessing prospective accounts to secure business.
- Build customer portfolio in alignment with the needs and capabilities of the Road & Rail Product.
- Act as product subject matter expert for teammates in the Hellmann sales community.
- Perform all aspects of the sales process; input and update all relevant activities utilizing CRM daily (required).
- Conduct mutually agreed Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer and maintain close, ongoing communication with the customer and Hellmann Road Operations to ensure expectations are met.
- Report to management regularly on market development and customer trends and activities.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years sales in Cross Border Road Freight
- Operations experience with cross border services including general knowledge of customs processes
- Experience with logistics processes, systems and solutions
- Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus; basic PC knowledge with Microsoft Office applications minimum
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Customer relations experience
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ambitious self-starter who can be flexible in the face of ambiguity
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel 50% or more and maintain a valid driver's license
