The Director, Brand Strategy Private Brands is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive growth and profitability for the company's private label brands. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the competitive landscape. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, expansion, and revitalization of private label brands marketing.
  • Develop comprehensive brand strategies, including brand positioning, target audience definition, and value proposition.
  • Lead the development of creative briefs for new brands and brand reinventions. Collaborate with creative and agency partners to create compelling brand identities, including naming, logo design, and visual assets.
  • Develop and maintain detailed brand style guides to ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints.
  • Partner with the marketing strategy team to develop and execute brand launch plans aligned with brand positioning.
  • Monitor brand performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for private label brands, aligning with the company's business objectives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and consumer preferences to drive innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including private brand and merchant teams.
Skills You Will Need
  • Customer Champion: Ability to deeply understand consumer behavior, preferences, and trends to build meaningful connections with them
  • Brand and Merchant Partnership: Proficiency in forging integrated partnerships between brands and merchants to amplify marketing efforts and drive business growth.
  • Marketing Planning and Execution: Competence in developing marketing plans aligned with sales targets and business goals and executing them effectively.
  • Multi-Channel Marketing: Experience in deploying marketing strategies across various channels, with a focus on experiential, digital, social media, and content marketing.
  • Experiential Marketing: Capability to create buzz in the market through experiential activations, including events, pop-ups, and immersive brand experiences.
  • Creativity with Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to balance creativity with insights and data analysis to inform marketing strategies and decisions effectively.
  • End-to-End Consumer Journey: Skill in continuously evolving the consumer journey, ensuring engagement with the right audience through appropriate channels at the right times.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams such as merchants and fashion offices to synchronize product priorities and messaging.
  • Brand Re-imagination: Skill in re-imagining brands and deploying innovative marketing strategies to revitalize and differentiate them in the market.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the retail marketing space, including the ability to bring different brands to life for respective shoppers.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans, with at least 5 years of experience in the private label marketing

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
