Director, Annual Campaign The Jewish Federation of St. Louis seeks a development professional with the experience, creativity and vision to lead its Annual Campaign. Under the supervision of the VP, Development, the Campaign Director oversees both short and long-term development and implementation of the Annual Campaign including the involvement of leadership, volunteers, donors, and the Federation staff. Design and Implementation of the Overall Campaign Effort & Donor Development Pipeline
- Coordinates and/or liaises directly with lead staff for all major campaign events and activities to ensure their success in immediate and long-term goals.
- Works closely with Development and Federation leadership to establish Annual Campaign goals and other related metrics associated with donor development.
- Partners with Annual Campaign Chairs/Co-Chairs and Board of Director's Vice-Chair of Development to achieve campaign goals
- Leads efforts to create, maintain and regularly optimize solicitor portfolios
- Oversees strategies to ensure a focus on major gift donors and donors at benchmark giving levels.
- Works closely with Affinity Group team (Women's Philanthropy, Professional Society, Young Professionals Division, Ben-Gurion Society) to ensure continued focus on philanthropy and donor development throughout planning, execution and follow-up from events.
- Identifies donors with high potential and coordinates efforts to involve and cultivate them through the campaign. Refers donors with desired skills and backgrounds to the Governance and Board Engagement committee to meet broader involvement objectives and strengthen committees across organization and community.
Campaign Message and General Communications Develops, in consultation with staff and top campaign leadership, campaign theme (as applicable) and overall marketing approach, ensuring they reflect the goals and objectives of the campaign.
- Consults with marketing staff on development of all campaign-related publications and materials, and P.R./advertising approaches with the media.
- Reviews all campaign related production to ensure quality and consistency of look and message.
- Supervises integrated approach to the lower giving levels of the campaign, including direct mail, social media, telemarketing, texting, e-mail and phone-a-thons.
- Maintains strong knowledge of local and global Jewish communal agencies and related impact to support enhanced storytelling
