Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Advancement and working closely with the Alumni Association Board, provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all Alumni Association activities and business operations.University of the Pacific recognizes that diversity, equity, and inclusion is foundational to the success of our valued students and employees. Essential Functions
- Plan and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Alumni Association in collaboration with the Alumni Board.
- Serve as Executive Director of the Alumni Association Board of Directors; oversee Board of Directors committees and plan necessary reports to the board with committee chairs; attend, participate, and provide direction in other Alumni Association related committees; write and maintain minutes.
- Partner with senior leadership, the Alumni Board, the Executive Committee, and other internal resources in the Dugoni School community to successfully reach and exceed Alumni Association vision and goals.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with current and future alumni; identify and cultivate appropriate communication and outreach channels to various alumni groups.
- Develop, implement, and manage the Alumni Association budget; provide oversight regarding contracts and agreements and ensure smooth business operations.
- Provide oversight and leadership in the planning and organization of large-scale meetings, banquets, chapter events, and other activities.
- Develop and write reports regarding Alumni Association activities and achievements; manage correspondence and communication with various alumni groups.
- Prepare quarterly reports to the University Board of Regents, bi-monthly online News Flash issues to the membership, and notifications of deceased classmates to individual classes.
- Represent the School of Dentistry alumni as needed within the University.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Financial budgeting, reporting and recordkeeping.
- Principles of conference and meeting planning.
- Business and report writing.
- Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook; Learning Stream, or other constituent database.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role with demonstrated accomplishment in fostering productive relationships.
- Minimum two years of experience in meeting planning.
Education:
Working Conditions:
- Position is full-time, 5 days per week.
- Requires evening and weekend assignments.
- Requires travel to off-site locations.

- Demonstrate effective and professional presentation and public speaking skills.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience:
- Prior experience working within an alumni association
- Experience with nonprofit or educational institutions.
Education:
- Master's in a field related field, DDS , or PhD degree preferred
Other:
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range
Hiring Range $103,297.00 - $119,604.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
