Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Accounting to lead and oversee accounting operations across our Olympics activities including our Italian and US entities. This strategic role will ensure compliance with local GAAP and US GAAP, drive financial process standardization, and support the company's growth and governance objectives across diverse markets. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting operations inside and outside the U.S., including general ledger, close processes, statutory reporting, tax coordination, and compliance for US and international entities.
  • Partner with global finance teams to ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
  • Own the relationship with external auditors for national and international operations and lead the preparation of audited financial statements as required.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and alignment with US GAAP and local standards.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of accounting processes across regions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

You Have These:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a multinational setting.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in a multinational corporation with a Big4 audit background.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (SAP and/or NetSuite); proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and cultural contexts.
  • Experience with SOX implementation and financial systems transformation projects.

Hiring Range Minimum: $127,500 annually

Hiring Range Maximum: $170,000 annually
