Oak Hill is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Residential Program Worker (RPW) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in one of our group homes located in the Windsor, CT area. This role offers the opportunity to inspire others and make a life-changing impact while achieving professional growth and personal fulfillment.

Residential Program Workers needed in Hartford County, Connecticut Area!

Compensation: This is a union position with the rate of $18.50 per hour for 1st shift and $19.40 for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a range of services based on individual needs, including direct personal care (personal hygiene, toileting, etc.) household tasks, appointment transportation, vocational services, community activities, and supervision.
  • Collect, record, and chart data to meet Oak Hill's policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks to maintain participants' cleanliness, comfort, and well-being.
  • Prepare materials for participant-related activities or projects.
  • Promote and encourage self-administration of medications, administer medications, and document any errors.
  • Apply emergency first aid and CPR procedures as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies protecting participants' identity and medical information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to attend 6-day orientation in Hartford, CT
  • Applicants with 6+ months experience providing direct care in a group home setting will receive priority
