Responsibilities:
Care and Support:
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of each individual.
Communication and Documentation:
Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Document client progress, health records, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
Report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisors.
Community Engagement:
Plan and engage individuals in community-based activities, outings, and social events.
Encourage participation in vocational and recreational opportunities to enhance social skills and community integration.
Training and Development:
Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on best practices in the field of developmental disabilities.
Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is a plus.
Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
